Art Classes
Kathie currently teaches art classes for both oils and acrylics at the following locations:
- The Art Loft Teaching Studio in Marblehead, Ohio
- Pat Catan's Craft Store in Sandusky, Ohio
- Her home studio on Catawba Island, Port Clinton, Ohio
Class Details
The Art Loft - Second floor above Lakeside Laura's, 417 W. Main St., Marblehead, Ohio
Days: Every second and fourth Thursday of the month and the first Saturday of the month
Times: 12:30 - 3:30 pm
Cost: $20 per class.
Painting Level: Some classes are targeted for beginners, others for the more advanced.
Please Note:
Kathie asks that each student bring what art supplies they have, what they don't have, they are welcome to use hers. Additional classes may be added if requested by students.
Pat Catan's Craft Store - 906 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, Ohio, 44870 & Home Studio on Catawba Island, Port Clinton, Ohio
Days & Times: Class times vary from 2 to 7 hours depending on the subject matter - usually scheduled the month before. A good example of a 7 hr. class would be a landscape.
Cost: They range from $14 per class up to $40.
Painting Level: Some classes are targeted for beginners, others for the more advanced.
Some classes allow students to use the medium of their choice, acrylics or oils. Kathie also teaches classes in the use of palette knife painting. She says, "if you can ice a cake, you can paint with a palette knife".
